Community Participation

Connect, Engage, and Thrive

Life is richer when we are connected to our community, pursuing our passions, and sharing experiences with others. At Disability Choice Matter we provide dedicated support to help you break down barriers and participate fully in the vibrant life of Melbourne, Geelong and your local area. Our goal is to empower you to access social and recreational activities based on your unique interests and NDIS goals.

What Can Community Participation Look Like?

    • Visiting a museum, art gallery, or the Melbourne Zoo.
  • Hobbies & Personal Interests:
    • Joining a local club like a book club, gardening group, or Men’s Shed.
    • Attending an art class, a cooking course, or a music lesson.
    • Going to the gym, the local swimming pool, or joining a walking group.
  • Essential Life Activities:
    • Doing your weekly grocery shopping at the Queen Vic Market or your local supermarket.
    • Going to the bank, post office, or hairdressers.
    • Attending medical and allied health appointments.
